| The Constructed Image Photography is an incredible tool that allows us to create narrative stories visually. This course will cover the elements involved in creating conceptual imagery with a focus on making images that are about something rather then of something. Students will learn about brainstorming and concept development, preproduction, scouting locations, building a team and working with talent, as well as executing the shoot. The class time will be divided between the classroom; analyzing contemporary photography, brainstorming and critiques. The rest of the course time will be spent preparing for and working on images. Course focus varies by venue, concetration options: Advertising, Beauty, Children, Fashion, Fine Art and Self Portraiture. course taught at: Gulf Photo Plus, ICP, Nordphotography, Unique University and The Yard School Portfolio Development For those interested in building a portfolio or working on a long term project, this course will identify a set of goals for each student's work and the class will provide inspiration, structure, support and feedback for each individuals needs. The class will meet as a group once a month over a six month period. Halfway through the course each student will have an individual hour long consultation. Ideal for working on a long term project, building your portfolio, creating a book, preparing for an exhibition, and career development for commercial and fine art tracks. Every 3rd Wednesday of the month from 6 pm to 9 pm. Portrait, Beauty & Fashion Retouching with Photoshop CS5 Take your images to the pro level with creative retouching. This course will go through the RAW dialogue box and tools in Photoshop needed to create flawless images. A simple workflow will be covered, starting with discussions on how to assess your image and make a retouching plan. We then cover color correcting for skin tones, skin enhancement, age reduction, facial reconstruction, fixing hair and makeup and creative color, as well as many other techniques with a focus on problem solving. Advanced classes will cover weight reduction, body contouring, manipulating clothing and background.
